An all-state selection at Graham High School for coach Chad Holland … Earned second consecutive all-conference and conference pitcher of the year laurels as a prep senior after leading Red Devils to their second-straight conference title and a spot in the state playoffs … Hit better than .350 in each of his last two prep seasons, including a .367 batting average with 30 walks and 15 RBI as a junior … Played travel ball with the Carolina Anglers and coach Jon Draut … Earned three player of the game awards in CC Prospects tournaments … Was also a standout in cross country and soccer at Graham.
