HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
A two-time all-conference selection for Butler High School and coach Kim Cousar … Captained the Bulldogs in each of his last two prep seasons … Earned all-conference accolades, as well as team most valuable player and most valuable defensive player laurels … Helped pace Butler to the third round of the state playoffs as a prep junior … Also led team to a runner-up finish in the conference standings … Played travel ball with the South Charlotte Panthers and coach Danny Hignight.

The son of Bernadette and John McMahon was born on Nov. 12, 1991 … Has three older brothers, Jonathan, Jeremy and Danny, one older sister, Christy, and one younger sister, Cassidy … Father is a former baseball standout at Flagler, while brother, Jonathan, played baseball at Carson-Newman … Maintained a 3.6 cumulative grade point average at Butler High School and graduated in the top 21 percent of his 570-member senior class … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
