Prepped at North Lenoir High School for coach Jim Montague… Earned offensive most valuable player laurels as a seniorafter hitting .452 with four home runs and 35 RBI … Played akey role in North Lenoir’s run to the second round of thestate playoffs … Took home rookie of the year honors duringjunior campaign after registering a .380 batting average with 4home runs and 29 RBI … Helped lead Hawks to the conferencetitle, as well as a deep run in the state playoffs … Playedtravel ball with Kinston Legion Post 43 … Paced team tothird round of playoffs while posting a .380 batting average with10 home runs and 40 RBI … Also played basketball at NorthLenoir.
