AS A SOPHOMORE (2018): Earned a spot on both the ABCA and D2CCA All-Region squads … All-Peach Belt Conference honoree … NCCSIA All-State selection … Started in all 54 games (54 at 2b) … Posted a .365 batting average in 200 at-bats with 51 runs scored on 73 hits, including 19 extra-base hits (7 HR), and 47 RBI … Also drew 23 walks, was hit by pitch a team-high 15 times and was 15-for-18 on stolen base attempts … Logged three sacrifice flies and a pair of sacrifice hits as well … Committed 18 errors in 263 total defensive chances for a .932 fielding percentage … Recorded 23 multiple-hit and a dozen multiple-RBI games … Also scored two or more runs in 13 outings … Walked, homered and drove in four runs on a 2-for-4 hitting line in game two against Shepherd … Stole three bases and scored a trio of runs on a 2-for-4 performance in the finale with the Rams as well … Walked, stole a base and scored once in the opener with Augusta … Performance sparked a seven-game hitting streak that featured five multiple-hit games and saw him register a .483 (14-for-29) clip with five extra-base hits, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored … Tallied a 8-for-13 (.615) series against Lander in that span as well … Homered, drove in four runs and scored three times on a 2-for-5 day in the series finale with Winston-Salem State (home) … Doubled and walked twice in the series finale with St. Augustine’s … That outing marked the beginning of a season-long nine-game hitting streak that saw him hit .387 (12-for-31) with three doubles, nine RBI and five runs scored … Compiled a 8-for-13 (.615) series against Flagler … Hit a pair of solo homers in the finale with the Saints to highlight a 4-for-5 hitting line … Followed that up by registering two hits in all three games with Georgia Southwestern … Drove in two runs on a 2-for-4 plate performance against Lincoln Memorial in the NCAA Southeast Regional.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017): PBC Freshman of the Week (February 20) … Played in 27 games, including 16 starts (10 at dh, 3 at 2b, 3 at 3b) … Posted a .250 batting average in 64 at-bats with 18 runs scored on 16 hits, including eight extra-base hits (2 HR) and 16 RBI … Also drew 11 walks, was hit by pitch twice and was a perfect 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts … Registered two sac flies and one sacrifice hit … Tallied two multiple-hit and three multiple-RBI games … Also scored two or more runs in four outings … Committed five errors in 39 total defensive chances for an .872 fielding percentage ... Walked and hit a grand slam in his collegiate debut against Shepherd … Registered a 5-for-8 (.625) series against Saint Rose, including a game one performance that saw him tally a perfect 4-for-4 hitting line with two doubles, one home run, five RBI and four runs scored … Doubled and scored twice in the series finale ... Walked, doubled and scored twice on a 1-for-1 hitting line in the home win over Barton.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016): Redshirted … Did not see game action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Bandys High School for coach Frank Porter … Earned all-conference and all-district honors as a senior after hitting .407 with 12 extra-base hits (3 HR) and 18 RBI … Also drew 18 walks and was 6-for-7 on stolen base attempts … Earned national scholar-athlete award from U.S. Army Reserve, and picked up student-athlete of the year recognition from the Catawba County Hall of Fame … Led state with .586 batting average as a junior and finished with 24 RBI … Took home AAA scholar-athlete award as well … Also played football for the Trojans.

PERSONAL: The son of Angela and Frank Hartings … Has three older sisters – Tara, Nikki and Hannah … Maintained a 3.94 cumulative grade point average at Bandys High School and graduated in the top 25 percent of his 232-member senior class … A business administration major at UNCP.
