AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Redshirted for the Braves.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Named to the NCCSIA All-State Team and was a member of the squad that earned the PBC Team Sportsmanship Award …  As a midfielder, he played in 17 games and started seven games to record 900 minutes … Finished the season with 13 points on four goals (third most on the team) and five assists (a shared team best) … Took 25 shots, 10 of which (.400) were on goal … Registered his first goal of the season for the game-winning goal in the fifth minute of the 4-0 shutout victory over Mount Olive, while also grabbing the final goal in the 56th minute of the game … Post the first goal of the second half in the 10-1 victory over Chowan as well as two assists in the first half to Jeff MacDonald and Sam Miles … Notched the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory over Francis Marion to deliver the Braves the PBC win … Assisted Sam Miles in his goals against Brevard and USC Aiken as well as Martin Tomter in his goal against Barton … Totaled a season best seven shots against Chowan and shots in the games against St. Andrews (3), Mount Olive (3), USC Aiken (2), Francis Marion (2) and Lander (2) in the PBC Tournament … Notched one shot in six other competitions … Contributed to this season’s school record in number of goals in a single game in a season against Chowan … Helped UNCP rank 19th in scoring offense (2.39), 22nd in total goals (43), 17th in team goals against average (0.8), 35th in shutout percentage (0.39), 34th in W-L-T percentage (.667) and 34th in save percentage (0.805) in the nation.

HIGH SCHOOL

Prepped at Nayland College under Coach Brendam Cricklon … Captained the team to its first ever national final game … Scored eight goals in a span of six games … Awarded MVP in 2010 and Most Promising Footballer in 2008 and 2009 … The team was second in the country in 2010 and the winner of the southern stars in Brisbane … Played for Canterbury United under Coach Alan Walker … Was vice captain in 2010, a member the team that won the national youth league final in 2009.

The son of Alison and Richard Smith … Has an older brother, Thomas, and a younger brother, Josh … An exercise and sports science major at UNCP.
