Prepped at St. John Fisher Catholic High School under coaches Knowles and Pass … Lettered in soccer, cross country and track and field in the long jump and 400m dash … Played  in 95 percent of the games in high school and received the Junior Sports Leadership Award, while also helping his team become area champions … Made the national, regional and area team in cross country and regional and area team in track … Also played for the Beckwithshaw Saints Bulls JFC under coach Mark Stewart … Captained the squad to become two-time Grassington Tournament Champions, three-time Harrogale I District League Winners and Cup Winners and a Country Cap semifinalists in 2008 … Was a Leeds United Academy Trialist from 2007-2009 and averaged 15-20 goals per season.
