Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Selection (Presidential Scholar) ... Placed first in the 4x400m relay, as the second leg, and fourth in the 400m run with a time of 3:28.11 and 52.41 seconds, respectively, at the Braves Track and Field Classic … Competed at the UNCW/Seahawk Invitational in the 4x400m relay, running the first leg of the race, with a time of 3:35.09 to place ninth and 20th in the 200m dash with a time of 52.11 … Competed in the 400m dash at the Shamrock Invitational setting a personal season record of 51.98 finishing 43rd overall … Ran the 4x400m relay in indoor track at the Savannah State Eye Opener as the first leg with a time of 3:28.76. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2009)
Registered an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Meet with a 53.30 400m mark … Picked up a personal best 400m of 52.15 at the Liberty Invitational to place 14th … Finished ninth in the 400m with a 53.69 and 11th in the 200m with a 23.85 at the Braves Track and Field Classic … Ran a 54.31 400m at the Savannah State Eye Opener to place 18th … Ran the 400m in 53.30 and 54.49 at the Lynchburg Classic and Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational to place 21st and 45th, respectively.

HIGH SCHOOL
Posted lifetime bests of 22.32s in the 200m and 51.8s in the 400m as well as a season best of 11.2 in the 100m as a senior … Was a three year letterman for coach Roy Funderburk at Pender High School … Pulled down Waccamaw Conference Male Track Athlete of the Year honors and garnered all-state laurels in the 200m and 400m … At conference and county, won the 100m, 200m and 400m while taking 6th in state in the 200m and 400m … also lettered in football under coach Tom Eanes.

The son of Joe and Shirley Mott … Has one older brother, Marcus … A chemistry major at UNCP.
