BEFORE UNCP
Attended Coffeyville Community College in Kansas under coach Craig Perry and competed in 2013 in the long jump and triple jump … Placed first in the long jump and triple jump at the Cowley Tiger Invite and finished in the top 10 on 15 different occasions … Finished fifth and eighth, respectively, in the long jump (6.80m) and triple jump (13.64m) at the regional championships … Also captured a 13th place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 14.11m and a ninth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.88m at the NJCAA National Championships ... Registered a personal best time of 12.01 seconds in the 100m dash, 7.05m in the long jump and 14.60m in the triple jump.

Prepped at RJ Reynolds under coach Melissa Daly … A four-year letterman in track and field … As a senior, he was conference champion, all-region and all-state in the long jump and triple jump … Placed third in the long jump at the emerging elite nationals … Competed in the long jump (22 ft, 11 in) and triple jump (47 ft, 2 in) … Improved on his distances from his junior year … Nationally qualified and was named all-conference in the 4x400m relay.
