Prepped at Topsail High School under coach Gainey in her senioryear and coach Coston in her junior campaign … A lettermanin softball … As a senior, she helped her team to a 25-1overall record as she registered a 3.33 era as a pitcher in her39-2/3 innings of work with 57 strikeouts and 13 walks … Hada .278 batting average, 15 hits, 17 RBI, one homerun and twodoubles … Played first base for 116 inning of error freework … Named all-county, all-conference, all-district,all-area and all-state in her junior and senior seasons, whilehelping the team to back-to-back ECC Championships … In herjunior season, the team went 22-5 overall as she held a 1.92 erawith 101 strikeouts, 31 walks and a .276 batting average.
