AS A JUNIOR (2013)
As a pitcher, she appeared in 20 games with eight starts to her credit for UNCP … Posted a 4.10 era and 4-5 overall record in the circle … Finished one complete game and one shutout for 41.0 innings pitched … Gave up 64 hits, 40 runs (24 earned runs), seven doubles, two triples, two home runs and 14 walks … Threw 12 strikeouts to average 2.05 strikeouts per game … Pitched 184 at-bats and had a .348 batting against average, .857 fielding percentage and .357 runners caught stealing percentage … Had five runner caught stealing and nine stolen bases … Grabbed two wins against St. Andrews, another against Alderson-Broaddus and her final win in the 9-1 win over Barton … Struck out a season best four batters against Alderson-Broaddus on March 11.

BEFORE UNCP (2010-2012)
Was a member of the Lamar State College-Port Arthur Seahawks for coach Vance Edwards … Helped the team to a 29-25 overall record as she has played in 22 games, pitched 71-2/3 innings, gave up 81 runs (49 earned), 105 hits, 22 strike outs and 36 walks for a 4.79 ERA and a 7-4 record in the circle … In her freshman year with the Seahawks, she posted a .222 batting average with one RBI and tallied a 2-14 record in the middle with a 7.66 ERA and 23 strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Port Neches-Groves High under coach Brook Fontenot … A four-year letter winner in softball and helped her team to a 10-2 overall record her senior year with a .490 batting average, a 1.000 fielding percentage and a 2.32 ERA … Garnered a spot on the all-district first-team and helped the Indians become area and district champions … As a junior, she was named all-district first-team and 2008 pitcher of the year.

PERSONAL
The daughter of Paul Austin … Held a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and was a member of the 2007-2010 academic all-district teams in high school … A member of the Future Teachers of America and the Association of Indian Athletics … An exercise and sports science at UNCP.
