AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Opened the season at the Gamecock Invitational where she set her personal best time in the 5K with a time of 20:29.03 for a fifth place finish that helped UNCP claim a first place finish … Set the 20th fastest 6K time in school history at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships with a time of 25:14.8 for a 107th place finish to help UNCP finish eighth overall … Finished 36th overall with a time of 25:51.41 in the 6K (22nd fastest time in the school history in the 6K) at the Peach Belt Conference Championships to contribute to UNCP’s fourth place finish … Captured a 33rd place finish at the College of Charleston Invitational with a time of 21:00 in the 5K … Competed at the Charlotte Invitational (200th, 20:53.62) in the 5K gold race and the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic (133rd, 21:37.30) in the 5K race.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at South View High School under Coach Jesse Autry … Lettered in cross country, track and swimming … Posted personal best in the 1600m run (6:10), the two mile run (12:38) and the 5K (21:01) … Garnered the coach’s award and all-conference in cross country … Name second team all-conference for the two miles run in track … Team took second in conference.

The daughter of Beatriz Perez and John Sem … Has an older sister, Annette, who runs for the Lady Braves, and a younger sister, Christina … Ranked 21st in her 400-member senior class and garnered a 4.0 cumulative grade point average … A member of the A/B honor roll, NHS, SHS and AIG … An accounting major at UNCP.
