Todd Gleaton

An experienced golfer with experience on both the Nike and Hooters Tour, Todd Gleaton is in his first season as an assistant coach with the UNC Pembroke women’s golf team.

A Hope Mills native, Gleaton attended NC State University (1987-90) where he was an all-region selection for the Wolfpack in 1989 after registering a team-low 73.8 stroke average and received an invite to participate in the East-West All-Star Match. He also won the Southern Intercollegiate tournament that season after carding a three-round 215 (69-74-72), as well as the Wolfpack Invitational and the University of Georgia Tournament. Gleaton also participated in the NCAA Championships as both a freshman and sophomore.

Following a prolific collegiate career, Gleaton joined the Nationwide Tour in 1997 where he won both the Nike St. Louis Golf Classic and the Nike Tri-Cities Open. He also has a tournament victory on the NGA Hooters Tour.

Gleaton had more than 60 junior golf tournament wins while prepping at South View High School where he was a member of a state championship team as well. He was also the 1985 and 1986 North Carolina Junior champion.
