Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2014)
Garnered the D2 Academic Achievement Award … A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Ran a personal best time in the 400m dash at the PBC Championships for a 14th place finish with a time of 1:02.10 … Captured an eight place finish in the 200m dash with a personal best time of 28.44 seconds at the CCU Chanticleer Classic, as well as a four place finish with a time of 1:02.76 in the 400m dash … Also competed in the 400m dash at the Wofford College Terrier Relays (20th, 1:03.86), the Raleigh Relays (167th, 1:05.59) and the CCU Shamrock Invitational (16th, 1:05.81) … Was the third leg of the 4x400m relay that place seventh at the PBC Championships with a season best time of 4:10.61 … Was the final leg of the 4x400m relay (10th, 4:34.41) and final leg of the spring medley (3rd, 4:28.40) at the Wofford College Terrier Relays.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-2013)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Played in four games for the women's basketball team at UNCP … Turned in three assists and one steal … Saw her first minutes of collegiate action at St. Andrews, where she played a season-best three minutes and took two shots … Notched her first assist at St. Andrews … Played two minutes in the PBC opener on the road against USC Aiken ... Chipped in a season-high two assists against the Lady Pacers … Tallied her lone steal of the season at Georgia College … Recorded one minute of action at Flagler.
BEFORE UNCP
Attended Catawba College under Angie Morton for one season before transferring to UNCP … As a freshman, she played in two basketball games … Helped the team to finish second overall in the South Atlantic Conference and make an appearance in the first round of the NCAA Tournament … Made the Dean’s List with a 3.7 grade point average.
HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Matoaca High School under Gelna Lewis … A three year letterman in track and field and a two year letterman in basketball … As a senior, she averaged 13 points, 10 assists, three steals and .5 rebounds per game … Was a team captain … Led the district in assists … Garnered the coach’s award, all-Tri-City and honorable mention in the district … During her junior year, she averaged 10 points, five assists, two steals and two rebounds per game.

The daughter of Renell and Alonzo Edwards … Has a younger brother Anthony … Was an honor roll student with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average … Was a tutor in math, English and Spanish … A mass communications and broadcasting major at UNCP.
