AS A JUNIOR (2010)
Registered a new personal best at the North Carolina A&T Invitational with a time of 12.36 seconds in the preliminary race for a 12th place finish to advance to the finals where she crossed with a time of 12.37 seconds for a overall 10th place finish … Finished first in the 100m dash and 200m dash at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals with a time of 12.54 seconds and 26.32 seconds, respectively, and first in the long jump with a jump of 5.46m … Registered a new personal record in the 100m hurdles  at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational with a time of 15.29 seconds for a ninth place finish along with a sixth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.28m …  A member of the 4x100m relay team that posted the fastest time of the season with a time of 48.89 seconds for a fifth place finish at the Johnson C. Smith Invitation as the third leg … Registered a personal best in the 200m dash at the Duke Invitational placing third in the preliminary race and 29th in the finals with a time of 26.08 seconds … At the Weems Baskin Invitational, she set a new personal best in the long jump with a jump of 5.58m for a sixth place finish and a 16th place finish in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.43 seconds … Top performer at the Braves Classic placing first in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.74 seconds, in the 200m dash with a time of 26.34 seconds and in the long jump with a mark of 5.40m … Holds a new personal best in the 400m dash at the Charlotte Invitational with a time of 1:05.40 for a third place finish … While also at the Charlotte Invitational, she placed third in the long jump with a jump of 5.37m and competed as the fourth leg of the 4x100m relay team placing first with a time of 49.74 seconds … Competed at the Duke Twilight Invitational in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.35 seconds for a third place finish, in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.61 for a fourth place finish and in the long jump with a jump of 5.26m for a 19th place finish … Competed at the Shamrock Invitational in the 100m dash (T-44th, 12.71 seconds), 100m hurdles (16th, 15.44 seconds), the long jump (43rd, 4.88m) and in the 4x100m relay (27th, 51.89 seconds) as the second leg of the team … Finished first at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.41 seconds and was the only member of the women’s track and field team to compete in the Tar Heel Invitational running the 100m dash with a time of 12.72 seconds for an 11th place finish … Competed in the UNCW/Seahawk Invitational in the 100m dash (13th, 13.09 seconds), the 100m hurdles (6th, 15.50 seconds), long jump (5th, 5.55m) and in the 4x100m relay (7th, 51.43 seconds) as the second leg of the team … Competed in the UNF Invitational in the 100m dash (12.70 seconds), 100m hurdles (15.35 seconds) and long jump (5.14m). 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
Made history in her second year of collegiate competition by breaking two UNCP records and personal bests – posting a 15.16 in the 100m hurdles at the Liberty Invitational (finishing fifth) and a 5.50m long jump at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet (finishing first) … McDowell also found personal bests in the 200m with a 25.75 showing at the Liberty Invitational (finishing 14th) and in the 100m with a 12.78 at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational (finishing 30th) … At the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Meet McDowell also finished first in both the 100m with 13.13 and the 100m hurdles in 15.51 as well as a fourth place finish in the 200m (26.58) … McDowell found more first place finishes at the Braves Track and Field Classic in the long jump (5.44m) and 100m hurdles (15.54) while also bringing in a fifth place finish in the 100m (12.97) … Registered a third place finish at the Savannah State Eye Opener with a 5.33m long jump, also finishing sixth and 15th in the 100m hurdles (15.91) and 13.50 in the 100m dash, respectfully … Finished seventh at the Lynchburg Classic 100m prelims (15.45) … Competed in the International Friendship and Freedom Games placing 13th in the long jump (5.05m) and 15th in the 200m (25.83) … Registered two fourth place finishes in the long jump at the Liberty Invitational (5.33m) and the Emory/Asics Classic (4.71m) … At the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invite, had a 5.23m showing in the long jump (13th), a 16.06 in the 100m hurdles (21st) and a 26.83 in the 200m (32nd).

AS A FRESHMAN (2008)
Had a standout year breaking personal bests in all four of her main events … Closed out a successful year at the Carolinas Championship where she earned career-bests with second place in the long jump (5.27m) and a pair of third place finishes in the 200m dash (26.16s) and 100m hurdles (16.55s) … Recorded a mark of 5.22m in the long jump to place 10th and also finished 14th in the 200m dash running a time of 27.01s at the Weems Baskin Relays … Placed second at the Lynchburg Invitational in the long jump recording a distance of 5.17m and finished fifth in the 100m dash running a personal-best time of 12.56s … Earned an 11th place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.25m and 12th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.89s at the Seahawk Invitational … Also registered another 12th place performance in the 100m hurdles running a time of 17.30s … Won the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash at the Braves Track and Field Classic running times of 13.23 seconds and 27.25 seconds while also winning the long jump with a distance of 4.90 meters.

HIGH SCHOOL
Named the East Bladen Female Track MVP and the Conference's Most Outstanding Female Athlete … Finished ninth in the 300m hurdle and 11th in the 100m dash at trials for the 2007 state meet ... In 2006 competed in the 300m hurdles at States.

PERSONAL
The granddaughter of Mimie Pearl McDowell... Has one brother, Christopher and one sister, Jaleesa … Is majoring in business management at UNCP.
