Prepped at North Moore High School under coach Lucy Monroe … A four-year letterman in track and field and cross country … As a senior, she captained the team to a third place finish in the conference meet, was named most athletic female and was the top finisher in Yadkin Valley Conference in cross country … Anchored the 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay … Named all-conference in cross country and track in field in back-to-back seasons … Team placed second in conference in her junior year

The daughter of Kathy and John Garner … Has one sister, Kaitlyn … Ranked in the top quarter of her  graduating class with a 3.7 grade point average … A member of the honor roll, FCS, TATU and FFA …  An exercise science major at UNCP.
