AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Compiled a 13-21 (.382) record, including an 8-7 mark in tournament competition … Posted two wins via pin and another by technical fall … Went 5-16 against NCAA Division II competition … Placed ninth at the Citrus Invitational … Picked up first collegiate victory with a 2-1 decision over Limestone’s Dequinnen Nash at the season-opening Hokie Open … Went 6-2 at the Citrus Invitational, including four-straight decisions on day two of the event … Tallied a perfect 2-0 record in the tri-meet with Queens and Spartanburg Methodist … Picked up ECAC dual meet victories against Limestone and Emmanuel.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Croatan High School for coach David Perry … Compiled a perfect 29-0 (1.000) record as a senior and finished as the program’s first-ever undefeated state champion … Led the Cougars to the region title, as well as a runner-up finish at the state tournament … Also earned his second-straight conference and region titles … Turned in a 54-4 (.931) mark as a junior, while pacing Croatan to the conference and region titles.
 
PERSONAL: The son of Stacey and Charles Colborn … Has an older brother, Kyle … Maintained a 3.6 cumulative grade point average at Croatan High School and graduated in the top 37 percent of his 192-member senior class … A nursing major at UNCP.
