Having already made significant contributions to the program as one of its most decorated student-athletes, Nick Daggett made his transition to the coaching world in August 2022 as an assistant coach for the Braves.
Â
Standing as one of the only four-time all-Americans in the history of the UNC Pembroke wrestling program, Daggett amassed 123 victories from 2017-22 and made five trips to the NCAA Division II Championships, including a run to the national final in 2020-21. The Goldston native racked up 73 bonus-point victories over his illustrious career, and made 20 trips to the podium, including four region championships and quartet of top-8 showings at the national tournament.
Â
Daggett emerged himself in the student-athlete experience as an undergraduate, serving two terms as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, while also excelling in the classroom. He was a five-time honoree on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America Team as well.
Â
Daggett earned his bachelor’s degree in general biology from UNCP in 2022, and is currently pursuing his master’s in business administration.
