AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2014-15): Compiled an 11-13 (.458) record, including an 11-12 clip in tournament settings … Tallied three pins and two major decisions … Went 0-2 against NCAA Division II competition … Finished in fourth place at the Panther Open … Posted a 3-2 showing at The Citadel Open … Turned in a 4-2 mark at the Shorter Open … Split four matches at both the Panther Open and Newberry Open.

AS A FRESHMAN (2013-14): Redshirted … Competed in four tournaments as an unattached wrestler … Registered a 10-8 (.556) record, including a 1-5 mark against NCAA Division II competition … Turned in one win by technical fall and two others by major decision … Went 4-2 in his collegiate debut at The Citadel Open … Tallied a 3-2 clip at the Shorter Open and split four matches at the Newberry Open. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Western Harnett High School for coach John Black … Holds school record with 122 career victories … Registered a 41-7 (.854) mark as a prep senior … Captured the region and conference titles and finished fourth at the state tournament … Grabbed the conference championship en route to conference wrestler of the year laurels … Turned in a 48-8 (.857) record as a junior … Finished third at the region tournament and posted a 2-2 mark at the state tournament.

PERSONAL: The son of Susan and James Roberts … Has two younger sisters, Sidney and Jamin … Graduated in the top 40 percent of his 308-member senior class … An exercise & sports science major at UNCP.
