HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Douglas Byrd High School for coach David Watson … Finished seventh at the state tournament as a senior and recorded a 31-5 (.861) clip … Also posted a runner-up finish at the region tournament … Turned in a runner-up finish in the conference as a junior … Also lettered in baseball for the Eagles.
