AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13): Turned in a 9-12 (.429) record, including an 8-9 mark in tournaments … Went 1-5 against NCAA Division II competition … Won two matches by pin and posted two wins by major decision … Picked up first collegiate victory with a first period (1:35) pin of Anderson’s Zack Farmer at the Pembroke Classic … Placed at two tournaments, including a fourth place showing at the Central Florida Open … Also placed ninth at the Citrus Invitational … Went 2-1 at the Central Florida Open, and posted a 3-2 clip at the Citrus Invitational … Nearly knocked off fifth-ranked Aaron Norgren (Minn. State-Mankato) at the January dual before falling 6-4. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at North Rowan High School for coach Tim Pittman … Registered a 47-6 (.887) record as a prep senior, as well as conference and state championships … Rattled off a 33-13 (.717) record as a junior, while also capturing the conference championship and a runner-up finish at the state tournament … Helped lead Cavaliers to an appearance in the state finals.

PERSONAL: The son of Tara and Thomas Fowler was born on July 18, 1994 … Has three sisters, Antoinett, Breanna and Indya … A psychology major at UNCP.
