Jade Patrick enters his first season with UNC Pembroke women’s basketball as the program’s Offensive Coordinator, overseeing Player Development and serving as Co-Recruiting Coordinator. Patrick brings extensive experience across the NCAA Division I, junior college, and NCAA Division II levels, along with a championship pedigree and a strong reputation for player development, scouting and recruiting.
In his role with the Braves, Patrick oversees the team’s offensive system and game planning while working closely with student-athletes on individual and positional development. He also plays a key role in recruiting, evaluating prospective student-athletes and helping bring recruits to campus while building relationships with high school, junior college and AAU coaches.
Patrick joined UNC Pembroke after a successful tenure at Coker University, where he helped lead the Cobras to a 26-7 record, a South Atlantic Conference Tournament Championship and NCAA Division II Round of 32 appearance. At Coker, Patrick was heavily involved in recruiting, opponent scouting, film breakdown and player development while helping establish an offensive identity built around pace, spacing, decision-making and player versatility.
Prior to Coker, Patrick served as an interim head coach at Motlow State Community College, where his team established itself as one of the nation’s most prolific three-point shooting teams, leading the conference in three-point field goals made, three-point field-goal percentage and three-point attempts. His experience as an interim head coach provided valuable experience in leadership, game preparation, roster management, player development and the day-to-day responsibilities of leading a program.
Patrick began his collegiate coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Tennessee State University before moving to Coahoma CC as an assistant coach.
Patrick’s coaching experience across three levels of college basketball, combined with his championship experience, offensive philosophy, recruiting and player development, provides a strong foundation as he helps lead UNC Pembroke toward sustained success.
