Wrestlers Fall Thrice At Wolfpack Duals

RALEIGH – Brach Walker registered a trio of individual victories on the mat, including a tight 4-3 win over NC State's Bill Cook in the final session, but the UNC Pembroke dropped all three dual meets at the Wolfpack Duals on Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh.

Lindsey Wilson posted two key pins in the middle matches (157, 165 pounds) to deal the Braves (1-3) a 22-16 setback in the opening match of the day, while Gardner-Webb took seven individual bouts, including six bonus-point wins, en route to a 34-14 win in the middle session.

The Wolfpack posted eight individual wins, including seven of the bonus point variety, and tallied a 39-6 win over the Black & Gold in Sunday's final session.

The Braves will be back in action again on December 7 when they make their way to central South Carolina to take part in the Newberry Duals. UNCP will take on Lake Erie, Darton and Alderson-Broaddus at that event.
