NOTABLES
-UNCP's 24 turnovers are its second most this season behind 25 miscues on the road at Young Harris on Dec. 2.
-The setback is just the Braves' second when scoring at least 69 points, but UNCP falls to 1-8 this season when opponents shoot at least 39 8 percent from the floor (Lander, 46.2).
-The Braves had a positive margin in rebounds (39-36), points in the paint (34-28), bench points (25-13), fast break points (18-14) and blocks (6-1). UNCP's six blocks match a season high that was previously set on Jan. 24 against Francis Marion.
-Hardy and
Nyla Allen each poured in 13 points for the Black & Gold, while Horne chipped in nine on 4-of-7 shooting. Allen now has double-digit points in 14-straight games dating back to Dec. 10 against Lenoir-Rhyne.
-
Aliyah Farmer matched a game-high with 10 rebounds, which was just one shy of her career high set earlier this season at Young Harris. The sophomore also tacked on seven points.
-Lander's Christal Williams scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including a 5-for-7 mark from behind the arc, while Chelsea Mitchell logged a game-beast 24 points and eight rebounds.
UP NEXT
The Braves head back out on the road in the midst of playing four of five games away from Pembroke. UNCP heads to Milledgeville to lock horns with Georgia College on Saturday in a 1:30 p.m. tilt at the Centennial Center. The Bobcats (12-7, 9-4 PBC) are winners of two-straight games overall and escaped Pembroke with a 66-65 overtime victory on Jan. 6 against the Black & Gold. UNCP is just 1-16 all-time in Milledgeville with the lone win coming in the 2005-06 campaign.
