MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior
Ebone Stevens uncorked a career-high 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including a career-best seven 3-pointers, and the UNC Pembroke women's basketball team led by as many as 12 on Saturday afternoon, but host Georgia College outscored the Braves by 11 points in the fourth to pull out a 75-70 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) victory.

FIRST QUARTER
-After going down 2-0 on the game's first possession, the Braves scored 15 of the next 20 points, including 11 from
Tee Graham, to grab a 15-7 lead with under four minutes to play.
-Stevens knocked down back-to-back long balls separated by just 23 seconds late in the period to put UNCP up 23-14 before a Bobcat freebie closed the gap to 23-15 at the end of the first.
SECOND QUARTER
-The Braves built up their largest lead of the game at 29-17 with six of the first eight points in the second capped off by a
Melanie Horne 3-pointer with 7:04 to play.
-Georgia College closed the half on a 10-2 run in the final 4:53 to pull within two at the break (33-31), which is as close as the hosts had been since the game was knotted at 2-2.
THIRD QUARTER
-The Bobcats drew even on a Brianna Davis jumper with 8:56 on the clock, but UNCP quickly regained the lead 44 seconds later and led for the remainder of the period, including an eight-point advantage on two occasions.
FOURTH QUARTER
-Shay Tarver knocked down a 3-pointer with 4:14 to play to cap off an 11-0 Georgia College run that gave the hosts their first lead since 2-0.
-There were seven lead changes in the final five minutes and neither side led by more than two points until the 28-second mark of the period.
-Georgia College grabbed a 69-68 lead on a layup with 45 seconds on the clock and the Braves turned the ball over on five-straight possessions in the next 34 seconds to allow the Bobcats to ice the game at the charity stripe.
NOTABLES
-UNCP had just 11 turnovers to its name until the final 45 seconds of the game before finishing with 16 miscues that the Bobcats turned into 13 points.
-Georgia College grabbed 12 offensive boards and logged 24 second-chance points and won the battle in the paint by a 34-14 margin.
-The Black & Gold has now outrebounded its opponent in six of the last seven games after holding a 40-37 advantage on the glass on Saturday, but is just 3-4 in that span.
-Stevens' 20 points surpassed her previous standard of 15 that was set on Feb. 25, 2015 against Francis Marion. The senior also set a new career mark in 3-pointers made (6) and matched her career best of three assists.

Nyla Allen continued her torrid scoring streak with a game-high 21 points on 7-of-16 shooting and a perfect 7-for-7 mark at the free throw line. She has now scored at least 10 points in 15-straight outings and the New Jersey native also hauled in a team-high eight boards.
UP NEXT
The Braves wrap up a short, two-game road trip with a matchup against Augusta on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Christenberry Fieldhouse on the front end of a women's-men's doubleheader. The Jaguars (3-16, 1-14 PBC) fell 84-74 to Columbus State on Saturday for their 13th-straight loss since mid-December. UNCP knocked off Augusta 61-59 earlier this season in Pembroke.
