Soccer Cruises Past Visiting Converse

PEMBROKE – Freshman Bree Mason punched in a 34th minute goal and assisted on two others to help lead the UNC Pembroke soccer team to a 5-0 victory over Converse on Tuesday evening at Lumbee River EMC Stadium.

Five different players scored goals for the Braves (3-2-0) who were playing in front of the home crowd for the first time since a September 8 win over Anderson. The Black & Gold has now outscored its opponents 10-0 in three games at home this season. It was the third-straight setback for the Valkyries (1-8-0) who fell to 0-5-0 all-time in the series with UNCP.
