GREENSBORO – Sophomore
Megan Hunter registered a runner-up finish in the 200-yard Freestyle, and followed it up with third-place showings in the 100-yard Butterfly and 500-yard Freestyle, to lead the UNC Pembroke swimming & diving team to a split on Saturday afternoon at the Greensboro Tri-Meet inside the Reynolds Center.
The Braves (1-2) picked up their first win of the season with a dominant 134-24 victory over the host Pride, while also falling 189-77 to Roanoke.
Jaycie Knight also turned in a pair of top-3 finishes, tallying a time of 2:26.73 en route to placing second in the 200-yard Backstroke, while also finishing third in the 100-yard Backstroke.
Victoria Brousseau tallied a personal-best time of 1:15.93 on the way to a third-place finish in the 100-yard Breaststroke as well.
The Black & Gold will be back in action again on November 3 when they trek to Misenheimer to take part in the Pfeiffer Tri-Meet. UNCP will take on both the host-Falcons, as well as Sweet Briar.
