MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The UNC Pembroke women's basketball team forced 18 Georgia College turnovers and used
Tee Graham's 3-pointer at the buzzer to fuel a 56-55 victory over the Bobcats on Saturday inside the Centennial Center.
The Braves (4-8, 3-3 PBC) improved to 2-17 all-time in Milledgeville with the result, and captured their first road win in the series in 13 years (Jan. 4, 2006). It was the third-straight loss for Georgia College (5-8, 3-4) who was playing just its fourth home game of the 2018-19 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED |
1ST QUARTER |
Se'Dasia Love connected on a layup just 30 seconds into the game, UNC Pembroke went cold-shooting for the next four minutes. Tee Graham snapped the skid with a layup at the 6:19 mark, but Georgia College scored nine of the last 12 points in the opening period to take a 14-7 advantage into the second. |
2ND QUARTER |
UNC Pembroke cut its deficit back to three points, 17-14 on Tee Graham's layup at the 7:47 mark. The Bobcats, however, took advantage of another cold spell by the Braves and extended their lead 24-14 with 5:08 remaining in the half. ShaNyia Lester's layup with 2:20 left before the break made it a two-possession game, 27-22, but the Bobcats eventually lugged a 31-24 lead into the locker rooms. |
3RD QUARTER |
Aliyah Farmer's old-fashioned 3-point play tied the game at 35 apiece at the 4:51 mark. The Braves took their first lead off of Melanie Horne's trey with 4:15 remaining. Georgia College regained the lead, 42-40, off of Sydney Cleveland's 3-pointer with 68 seconds remaining in the quarter, and the hosts would end up taking a 44-42 advantage into the final stanza. |
4TH QUARTER |
Aliyah Farmer's layup with just more than 3-1/2 minutes remaining gave the Braves their largest lead of the afternoon, 53-46. Georgia College cut its deficit back to 53-52 on Jasmine McSwain's 3-pointer, and regained the lead on a Jasmine McSwain lay-in. Kenyatta Storm hit the front end of a two-shot foul to give the hosts a 55-53 edge with eight seconds left, but Tee Graham's 3-pointer from the top of the key on the other end of the court beat the buzzer and iced the clutch road win. |

+ The Braves have now held all six of their league opponents to sub-40 percent shooting. The Black & Gold limited Georgia College to just 35 percent shooting from the field on Saturday.
