PEMBROKE – A defensive miscue by the UNC Pembroke soccer team led to Manoly Baquerizo's game-tying goal in the 54
th minute, and sixth-seeded Clayton State eventually used a 4-1 edge in a penalty kick shootout with the third-seeded Braves on Tuesday evening in the quarterfinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
The setback stopped a three-game win streak for the Braves (14-4-1) who will now await Sunday evening's NCAA Tournament Selection Show in hopes of attaining an at-large berth. The Lakers (8-6-2) advance to Friday's PBC Tournament semifinal round where they will face second-seeded North Georgia.
