MOUNT OLIVE – Freshman Skylar Moreno eclipsed a 5-year-old school record in the 1-Mile Run, while junior Javon Graham registered an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 110-meter Hurdles, to highlight action for the UNC Pembroke track & field team in a dual meet at Mount Olive on Friday.
 
Moreno bested the previous school record in the 1-mile Run by more than 11 seconds on the way to easily out-pacing the rest of the 13-woman field in Friday's event. Graham, who is set to compete in the 60-meter Hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend, was business as usual on Friday, turning in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.16 seconds on the way to capturing the event title in the 110-meter Hurdles.
 
The Braves will continue the outdoor portion of their 2019 schedule, March 15-16, when they head to Wilmington to take part in the UNCW Invitational at the Greene Track & Field Complex.
