BELMONT - The UNC Pembroke soccer team registered more than 20 shots and took nine corner kicks en route to a 1-0 victory over Belmont Abbey on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
The victory for the Braves (13-4-0, 11-1-0 CC) helped solidify the No. 2 seed in the Conference Carolinas conference tournament and will give the squad a bye into the semifinal round on November 12 in Florence, S.C. The Crusaders (7-8-1, 7-4-1 CC) fell to 5-1-0 all-time against the Black & Gold.
