PEMBROKE – Saturday afternoon's regularly-scheduled New Year's Day tilt between the 22^nd-ranked UNC Pembroke men's basketball team and Lander has been postponed due to COVID-19 positive cases and symptomatic individuals within the Bearcats program.
 
The coaching staffs for both programs are open to rescheduling the game for a future date, but a schedule update is not available at this time.
 
The Braves (9-1, 6-1 CC) will return to action on January 4 when they suit up to host a rematch with Conference Carolinas for Chowan (1-8, 1-6) in the back half of a 5 p.m. doubleheader at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court. Tickets for that contest can be purchased by visiting UNCPBraves.com/Tickets.
