PEMBROKE –The UNC Pembroke soccer team held a 1-0 lead for nearly 83 minutes of action before Lander scored the equalizer in the 88
th-minute, but after double overtime the match ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon at Lumbee River EMC Stadium.
The outcome marks the third double overtime match this season for the Braves (6-2-1 PBC) but the first tie of the season. The result for the Bearcats (2-6-1 PBC) was the third straight overtime outing, which also snapped a four-game losing streak.
