AMERICUS, GA. – Georgia Southwestern used two big home runs and a double to put four runs on the board and blank the visiting UNC Pembroke softball in game one of the conference doubleheader on Monday at the Lady 'Canes Softball Field. UNCP managed a series split with a 5-2 victory in game two thanks to a five-run third inning.
The Braves (21-9, 9-3 PBC) are now 14-6 on the road and have split the last two series with Georgia Southwestern when playing in Americus, Ga. The Hurricanes (14-14, 5-9 PBC) are now 12-6 all-time against UNCP when playing on their home field.
