EVANS, Ga. – Eleventh-ranked Columbus State scored a pair of goals in each half and held off a furious second-half surge by the UNC Pembroke soccer team on the way to a 4-0 win over the Braves on Tuesday evening at Blanchard Woods Park.
The Braves (1-3-0) mustered just four shots on goal in the shutout, but managed to tack up 11 shots in the second half in the loss. It was the second-straight series win for the Cougars (4-0-1) whose only blemish this season is a road draw with Catawba.
