BANNER ELK – The UNC Pembroke volleyball team hit .280 from the net and registered seven service aces on the way to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) victory at Lees-McRae on Saturday afternoon at Williams Gymnasium.
 
It was the fourth straight match that the Black & Gold have held opponents to under a .200 hitting percentage at the net. UNCP has also won the last three meetings against the Bobcats.

MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 25-22	Lees-McRae took a quick 7-2 lead before Brianna Warren stopped the run with a kill. UNCP hit .316 from the net in the opening set and used blocks from Brianna Warren and Taylor Osborne to put the Braves ahead for good, 16-15.
SET 2 I 25-20	An ill-timed attack error from the Black & Gold kept the hosts in the match and knotted the score at 18 apiece. The Braves picked up three straight points for earn a set point after hitting a game-high .321 from the net during the second set.
SET 3 I 25-15	Erin O'Donnell's kill gave UNC Pembroke a comfortable 22-14 lead in the final set. The Bobcats committed eight errors, while the Braves logged four service aces on the way to closing out the match.
