MOUNT OLIVE – Taya McKeithan logged a top-5 finish in the Javelin Throw, while
Cedric Douglas finished among the top-10 in the Javelin Throw to highlight action for the UNC Pembroke track & field teams on the opening day at the 5
th Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge.
McKeithan placed third in the Javelin Throw with a throw of 31.85-meters.
Brianna Sanders record a top-5 finish in the High Jump matching a personal best of 1.55-meters.
Lillian Marino established a new personal best in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 46.75-meters for 6
th place, while
Raigan Evans finished 10
th in Hammer Throw with a toss of 42.09-meters.
On the men's side, Douglas registered a mark of 32.79-meters in the Javelin Throw on the way to a 10
th place finish. Douglas also had a personal-best in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 36.90-meters on the way to a 13
th place finish. Newcomer
Justin Walker established a personal best in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 37.47-meters for an 11
th place finish.
The Braves will be back in action at the Adidas Trojan Challenge on Saturday.
