No. 24 Baseball Steamrolls Barton, Takes Series

PEMBROKE – The 24th-ranked UNC Pembroke baseball team amassed a season-high 25 hits and scored six or more runs in three different frames to fuel a series-clinching 23-5 victory over visiting Barton on Sunday at Sammy Cox Field.
 
Eleven different players registered at least one base hit for the Braves (26-11, 16-5 CC) who picked up their ninth series win of the season in the process as well. Barton (20-18, 11-10) has now dropped six of the last seven meetings in the series with the Black & Gold.
