GREENWOOD, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke volleyball team registered nine service aces but hit just .098 from the net as Lander defeated the Braves 3-1 (25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 16-25) in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening inside Horne Arena.
The setback for the Braves (11-9) marked the second consecutive road loss and fall to 18-30 all-time against Lander. The Bearcats (18-2) have now won their last 14 matches and have now won the last 10 meetings with the Black & Gold when playing on their home court.

Lander jumped out to an early 6-1 lead after a UNC Pembroke attack error. The Braves would go on to win six consecutive points later in the set to take the lead for good, 17-12, with a kill from Vanja Przulj. |

The Bearcats used a kill from Christina Aguayo to push their lead out to 19-10. The Braves hit just .167 from the net but used three-straight points to cut their deficit back to 24-18 with an LU attack error. Lander hit .368 from the net during the frame and won the final point of the set. |
| SET 3 I 21-25 |
UNCP scored five of the first six points of the set and used a Vanja Przulj service ace to take a 5-1 lead, but Lander went on the win the next eight points to take a 10-6 advantage. Katelynn Swain's block knotted the score at 19 apiece, but the Bearcats closed out the set on a 6-2 scoring surge. |

Lander hit a match-best .400 from the net and took an early 7-3 advantage following a UNCP attack error. The Braves struggled offensively hitting -.059, and the Bearcats won five consecutive points to push their lead out to 24-15. |
