FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Emmanuel recorded nine service aces and tallied five blocks on the way to knocking off the UNC Pembroke volleyball team 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 20-25) on Saturday at the Shaw Athletic Center.
The Braves (12-10, 7-4 CC) fall to 2-4 all-time against Emmanuel and are 0-3 when playing them in Georgia. The Lions (12-8, 8-3 CC) have now won their last two matches and have not lost at home since September 16.

UNC Pembroke took an early 9-1 lead following a kill from Vanja Przulj in the opening set. Five consecutive points capped off with a UNCP service ace extending the Braves lead out to 14-4. Emmanuel hit .211 from the net and scored six-straight point to cut their deficit back to 23-19, but UNCP held on to take the first set. |

The Black & Gold tied the score up at 14 apiece after an ill-time Emmanuel attack error. A kill from Ellie Jackson gave the Lions a 21-17 lead which they did not relinquish. |

An Emmanuel attack error tied the score at 15 apiece midway through the set. UNC Pembroke hit .162 from the net, but the Lions took a 21-17 lead after a kill from Emily Hanson. The Braves cut their deficit back to 21-19 and saved a set point, but a UNCP service error gave the set to Emmanuel. |

Tyler Patterson's service ace gave UNC Pembroke an early 6-2 advantage. A 6-1 scoring surge for the Lions tied the score at 9 apiece. Emmanuel hit a match-high .333 from the net and took the lead for good, 20-18, off of a kill from Alaina Emminger. |
