INDIANAPOLIS – The eighth-seeded UNC Pembroke women's basketball team will make its first appearance at the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament in the 49-year history of the program when  it takes on top-seeded Catawba in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday in Salisbury, N.C.
 
The Braves, who earned the automatic berth to the tournament after winning the Conference Carolinas Championship earlier on Sunday, are the eighth seed in the tournament and are set to face top-seeded Catawba on Friday. Tipoff is slated for 5 p.m. inside Goodman Gymnasium. 
 
Ticket information for the 2023 NCAA Southeast Regional will be announced later this week.
