SNOW HILL – Amanda Hamrin slipped by fellow senior Georgia Page on the second playoff hole to rake in individual medalist honors and pace the UNC Pembroke golf team to its second-straight Conference Carolinas championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill.
 
The Braves combined to shoot a 305 in Tuesday's final-round action, led by a 2-over-par 74 round from Page (+7) who joined Hamrin (+7) on the all-tournament team. Elizabeth Ritchie (+19) finished among a tie for 14^th place with a 3-round 235 (83-76-76), while senior Samantha DeBusk (+24) settled into the No. 18 position Toni Blackwell (+29) closed out the three-day event in a tie for 28^th place.
 
By virtue of raking in the conference crown, the Braves locked up the league's automatic bid into the NCAA postseason which is scheduled to begin on May 8 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga. It will be the second-straight NCAA appearance for the Black & Gold, and the eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in the 17-year history of the program.
