SAVANNAH, Ga. – The UNC Pembroke swimming team won six events, while Sofia Pereira and Fabiana Pesce each recorded an NCAA B-Standard time to highlight action on Friday against SCAD-Savannah and Lenoir-Rhyne at the Chatham County Aquatic Center. 

Pereira took top honors in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:04.35 for her first NCAA B-Standard time of the season. Pesce's NCAA B-Standard time came in the 50-yard Freestyle where she won the event in a time of 23.50. Britta Schwengle won the 200-yard Freestyle beating the field with a time of  1:54.44, while Benedetta Pepe Pugliese won the 400-yard Individual Medley posting a time of 4:30.44 in the event. 

The 200-yard Freestyle relay team of Britta Schwengle, Ting-Yu Pan, Ianna Gomez Veloz, Fabiana Pesce stood at the top of the podium in the event touching the wall in a time of 1:38.08. 

The Braves will close out weekend competition on Saturday inside the Chatam County Aquatic Center.
