Soccer Drops Road Match To Chowan

MURFREESBORO – UNC Pembroke held Chowan to just one shot on goal, but the Hawks found the back of net with it and then held on for a 1-0 win over the Braves in Conference Carolinas action Tuesday night at the CU Soccer Complex.

The Braves (6-6-1, 6-3-1 CC) moved to 12-2-2 in the all-time series with the Hawks (6-6-1, 6-3-1 CC), and have now dropped three straight matches in a season for the first time since 2015.
 
SCORING SUMMARY
13' Abigail Simon's free kick service into the box found the head of Zuhailee Rivera and then the foot of Lily Harrison, who volleyed it into the back of the net to give Chowan the 1-0 lead.
TOP BRAVES
+ Leila Utate and Mercy Bell each recorded a match-high four shots.
+ Eugenie Amidou tallied a match-high two shots on goal.
