Soccer Falls To #18 Francis Marion

PEMBROKE – UNC Pembroke saw its six-match shutout streak come to an end at the hands of Francis Marion, as the Patriots took a 4-0 win over the Braves in Conference Carolinas action Tuesday evening at LREMC Stadium.

The Braves (5-3-1, 5-1-1 CC) fell to 5-9-5 in the all-time series with the Patriots (9-0-0, 7-0-0 CC).

 
SCORING SUMMARY
31' FMU's Gabbie Dubiel found the foot of Ashley Geder, who played a ball onto Nalani Hunt, with Hunt finding the back of the net to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead. 
60' Tehya Dave' found the foot of Georgia-Allen Aaron, who snuck a shot into the net from just inside the penalty area to stretch the FMU lead to 2-0.
80' Joy Brockmann's set piece into the box found the head of Hunt, who redirected it home to make it 3-0. 
83' Natasha Tanner's free kick found the back of the net to make it 4-0.
TOP BRAVES
+ Freya Lodge Whitham logged a team-high three shots.
+ Eugenie Amidou and Eli Soderberg each tallied two shots on goal.
   
UP NEXT
UNCP will continue Conference Carolinas play Friday, October 10 as they head north to take on Ferrum. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field.
