WINSTON-SALEM – Cole Thomas and Gary Parker each brought home a runner-up finish, while Carina Fiorucci finished third in the women's pole vault to highlight Day 1 action at the Camel City Invitational on Friday.

Thomas placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.55m, while Parker took second in the weight throw with a distance of 16.17m. Antoine King finished fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.76m to round out the top-five finishers on the men's side.

Fiorucci cleared 3.35m to take third in the pole vault, with McKylee Mosby finishing eighth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.27 to close out the top-ten finishers on the women's side.

Both squads will be back on the track Saturday for Day 2 of the meet, with events set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
