Baseball Takes Game 3, Sweeps Series Against Salem

CARY, N.C. – UNC Pembroke pounded out 17 hits and overcame an early deficit for the third-straight game on the way to a 10-4 win over Salem in the series finale Sunday afternoon at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.

Trailing 1-0 headed into the home half of the third inning, the Braves answered with three runs in the frame to take the lead, and would score one more in the fifth and three each in the seventh and eighth innings.

Will Hood turned in a 3-5, two-RBI day and finished a homer short of the cycle, while Landon Lucas chipped in with three hits and an RBI, as well.

The Braves (4-2) improved to 17-1 in the all-time series with the Tigers (0-3).
