Track & Field Wraps Up Competition At 59th Annual Colonial Relays With Two School Records

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – The UNC Pembroke track & field teams each came home with a new school record Saturday on the final day of the 59th Annual Colonial Relays.

The men's 4x1500m relay team of Norman Junker, Lucas Nervo, Jack Phieffer, and Antony Kigen crossed in 16:17.49 to break the school record and take third place, while the women's 4x1500m relay team of Sharon Ngetich, Malea Bennewitz, Moureen Kimaiyo, and Sofia Skidmore finished ninth with a time of 20:40.63 to establish a new school record.


The Braves will be back in action April 11-12 for the Trojan Relays. The two-day meet will be hosted by Mount Olive and take place at the Ray McDonald Sr. Track & Field Complex in Mount Olive.
