GREENVILLE, S.C. – Fresh off a 25-21 victory over No. 16 Delta State on Saturday, Donovan Woods has been named as the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, while Taylor Harris picked up Conference Carolinas Special Teams Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions, league officials announced Monday afternoon.

The announcement marks the second consecutive week that the Braves have had a pair of players pick up the weekly honors.

A native of Charlotte, Woods was instrumental on defense for the Black & Gold on Saturday. Woods accounted for a pair of interceptions during the game, one of which was on the Delta State goal line. He also registered four tackles and broke up one pass.

A product of Orlando, Fla., Harris was a perfect 2-for-2 on extra point attempts and knocked in a 27-yard field goal in the first quarter. The redshirt freshman averaged 56.0 yards on his five kick offs and had a pair of touchbacks on Saturday as well.
