BUIES CREEK – The UNC Pembroke swim team won six individual events and one relay but would fall 141-121 at Campbell on Saturday inside the Johnson Aquatic Center. 

Sofia Pereira took top honors in the 1000-yard Freestyle with a time of 10:42.28, while Britta Schwengle won the 200-yard and 500-yard Freestyle events with times of 1:56.75 and 5:12.46, respectively. Gabby Hyson beat the field in the 200-yard Butterfly with a time of 2:11.07, while newcomer Noelie Lacour won the  50-yard Freestyle (24.84) and the 100-yard Butterfly (1:00.65).

The 400-yard Freestyle Relay team of Noelie Lacour, Britta Schwengle, Kennice Greene, Fabiana Pesce touched the wall in a time of 3:39.41 to win the final event of the meet. 

The Braves will be back in action on Saturday for their final tune up before the Conference Carolinas Championships. UNCP will host Emmanuel and Roanoke at 2 p.m. inside the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool.
