Soccer Lands Six On All-Conference Team, Price & Andersson Bring Home Major Awards

October 30, 2026

GREENVILLE, S.C. – UNC Pembroke freshman Willow Price and gaffer Lars Andersson each brought home a major award, while six Braves earned a spot on the All-Conference Carolinas team released Friday by the league.

Price was named Freshman of the Year after scoring a team-high 10 goals in her rookie campaign, while also adding three assists. The Greenville native was also selected to the All-Conference first team after leading the league in shots on goal per game and finishing the regular season fourth in goals scored. Price was also named Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week earlier this month after recording a brace in two consecutive games, including a crucial 3-2 win at Francis Marion. Price becomes the program's third Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year honoree, as well as the ninth overall in program history.

Andersson earned his third career Coach of the Year award and first since joining Conference Carolinas. Andersson also won PBC Coach of the Year in 2003 and was the PBC Co-Coach of the Year in 2016. The Braves gaffer has helped lead the Black & Gold to a 10-1-5 overall record, as well as a 9-0-4 mark in Conference Carolinas play.

Freshman defender Mia Wells joined Price on the All-Conference first team after playing all but 24 minutes this season and anchoring a back line that allowed 1.06 goals and just 5.13 shots on goal per match. The Richlands native also tallied three goals from her center back position, with all three being game-winners.

Freshman midfielder Klara Persson earned a spot on the All-Conference second team after tallying three goals and six assists in her rookie season. The Sölvesborg, Sweden native logged three assists in the win over Shorter, and later netted two second-half goals in the comeback win at Chowan.

Senior defender Reagan Carr joined Persson on the second team after going the full 90 minutes at her right back position 12 times this year, also logging two assists while helping neutralize opponents' offenses.

Freshman midfielder Jahniyah Augustus earned a nod on the All-Conference third team after spending all but 75 minutes on the pitch this season as the Black & Gold's holding midfielder. The Greenville native tallied two goals in her rookie campaign, as well as a pair of assists in the comeback win at Chowan.

Sophomore goalkeeper Addison Ellsworth joined Augustus on the third team after posting a .787 save percentage and six clean sheets. The Greensboro native logged a 1.10 goals against average after allowing 16 goals in 15 games in the regular season.

The announcement marked the 13th-straight year that the Braves have boasted multiple All-Conference representatives, and the fifth-consecutive season it has sent at least four players to the All-Conference squad.
